Where to stay

Tuapse is a port city first and a resort second. The centre has an embankment, parks, a city beach and the railway station, practical if you arrive by train or car and plan day trips. Resort villages lie along the coast to the north: Agoy and Nebug close to town, Olginka with rocky coves, then Novomikhaylovsky and Dzhubga. Families usually prefer the villages, with beaches and water parks at hand.

When to go

Swimming runs from June to September; July and August are busiest. Off-season is good for waterfalls and dolmens in the hills.

Getting there

Long-distance trains stop in Tuapse, and Lastochka trains run along the coast. Sochi and Krasnodar airports are each about 2.5–3 hours by car.
