The order is fixed and alphabetical; it does not depend on how much sellers pay us.
Where to stay
Sochi stretches more than a hundred kilometres along the sea, so the area matters. The Central district, with the sea port, Kurortny Prospekt and the promenade, suits those who want city life; its pebble beaches get crowded. Adler is close to the airport and the mountain road, with many guesthouses. Sirius, around the Olympic Park, is flat with a wide promenade, good for bikes and prams. Khosta is greener and calmer; Lazarevskoye is a separate beach village.
When to go
Swimming runs June to September; July and August are the hot, busy peak. September and early October bring warm sea and fewer people. In winter most visitors head to the mountains.
Getting there
The airport is in Adler. Lastochka trains run to central Sochi and up to Krasnaya Polyana; buses and taxis too. Long-distance trains stop at Lazarevskoye, Sochi and Adler.
