Where to stay
Krasnaya Street is Krasnodar's main street and closes to traffic at weekends. Staying along it or nearby puts shops, cafes, theatres, Catherine Square and the Kuban embankment close at hand, with the main station a few stops away. Krasnodar Park, with an amphitheatre, ponds and gardens, lies in the east next to the stadium and suits match-goers and park lovers. Festivalny and Yubileyny are modern residential districts without historic streets.
When to go
Spring and autumn are most comfortable; summers are hot and weekends busy with travellers heading to the sea.
Getting there
Pashkovsky airport reopened in September 2025 but operates with restrictions, so check flights. Trains arrive at Krasnodar-1 station.
