Where to stay
Kislovodsk is a resort for slow walks, so distance to the Resort Park matters most. From the Kurortny Boulevard and the Narzan Gallery you can walk to the park trails, springs and concert hall; the station is close too. Many sanatoriums sit on the slopes around the park: quieter, but with daily climbs. If you come for treatments, stay where they are done on site or near the pump rooms.
When to go
The town is known for its many sunny days and works all year. Summer is warm without being stuffy, autumn dry and clear. Summer and the May holidays are busiest.
Getting there
Fly to Mineralnye Vody, then take a suburban train from Mineralnye Vody station (about an hour and a half) or a faster taxi. Long-distance trains from Moscow also end here.
