Where to stay
Central Khabarovsk stretches along the Amur, and the main reference point is Muravyova-Amurskogo Street. From there you can walk to Komsomolskaya Square, the cathedral and the long riverside promenade. Lenin Square and Karl Marx Street continue the centre towards the airport, with more business hotels and quieter evenings. The station area suits a one-night stop on the Trans-Siberian.
When to go
Summer is warm and humid, with rain in July and August; late May, June and September are the most pleasant. Winter is long, cold and sunny.
Getting there
The airport is about 10 km from the centre. Flights from Moscow take about eight hours. The Trans-Siberian railway passes through Khabarovsk.
