Kamennomostsky, often called Khadzhokh after its railway station, is a village on the Belaya river at the gateway to mountain Adygea. The centre has shops, cafes and guesthouses within walking distance of the Khadzhokh gorge, so you can manage without a car. Riverside guesthouses and lodges along the road to Dakhovskaya are a short walk from the Rufabgo waterfalls trail. A car or tour is needed for the Granite Canyon and the Lago-Naki plateau, about an hour away.
The main season runs from May to October. Waterfalls are fullest in spring; autumn is quieter.
Maykop is about 40 km away, under an hour by car or bus; Krasnodar is about three hours by car. Krasnodar has the nearest airport; Maykop has no passenger flights.
